Phoebe is a conservation and tourism marketer. She has vast experience in coordinating Events, Public Relations and Marketing issues within conservation and environmental organisations both locally and internationally; and also developing marketing strategies for Community Based Tourism Enterprises (CBTEs) in Kenya.

 

She has a keen interest in natural history, birding, photography, social media marketing and is an ecotourism and sustainable tourism enthusiast. Phoebe has worked for East Africa Wildlife Society (EAWLS), Youth for Conservation (YfC), World Wildlife Fund for Nature Pakistan (WWF-P), the National Environment Management Authority (NEMA), and Ecotourism Kenya (EK). She is the founder and Marketing Director at African Beads Safaris (ABS).

 

Phoebe holds a Bsc. in Tourism Management (Tourism Development) and Masters in Business Administration (Marketing) from United States International University (USIU-A). She is certified on TraveLife Sustainability System for Tour Operators and holds a certificate in Ornithology. She’s a member of Ecotourism Kenya (EK), Nature Kenya (NK), Kenya Museums Society (KMS), Friends of Nairobi National Park (FoNNaP), East Africa Wildlife Society (EAWLS). Phoebe enjoys traveling; nature and wildlife photography; bird watching; hiking; reading scientific, travel and conservation journals, magazines and books; and watching documentaries.
